What Red over-temperature light
actually means.

Older radiant-flame controllers carry a red Over-Temperature light below the readout. When the floor passes 800 °F the limit module cuts the control power, all burners go out and the red light stays on until the floor cools.

What to do when Red over-temperature light shows on the pizza oven

Before you book,
in this order.

Each step comes from Wood Stone's own guidance for Red over-temperature light on its pizza ovens. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.

01

Leave the oven off and let the floor cool below 800 °F; do not add wood or turn up the flame.

02

Once cooled, press the stop button to reset the limit and then restart the oven.

03

If the limit trips again in normal use, book a visit so the flame setting, the limit module and the temperature readout can be checked.

What not to do

The red light is not a gas leak signal. It is also not a burner that failed to light, which leaves the red light off.

Questions
about Red over-temperature light.

Can I clear Red over-temperature light myself?
Leave the oven off and let the floor cool below 800 °F; do not add wood or turn up the flame. If it comes back, it needs a visit.
Why did all the burners on my Wood Stone oven go out with a red light on?
The floor passed 800 °F and the over-temperature limit cut power to the burners. It resets once the floor cools below that point.
How do I reset the Wood Stone over-temperature limit?
Let the floor cool below 800 °F, press the stop button, then start the oven again.
What makes a Wood Stone oven reach the over-temperature limit?
A dome flame left high for a long time can drive the floor past its set point. If it happens with normal settings, the limit or readout needs checking.

Still showing Red over-temperature light?

A booking with a code goes further when it has the code copied as shown, the model and serial from the rating plate, and a note on whether the oven still lights, heats or moves its belt. With those three, the office can match the likely part to your oven the same day.
