The control panel on the side of a stainless conveyor pizza oven in a pizzeria, its small display lit with no characters readable, the pizza oven's belt empty and still, nobody at the oven.

Wood Stone LO: the hearth is below 100 degrees Fahrenheit

The Type 4 controller shows LO instead of a number until the floor thermocouple reads 100 °F.

Before you book,
in this order.

Each step comes from Wood Stone's own guidance for LO on its pizza ovens. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.

01

Light the oven as usual and give the floor time to warm; LO should give way to a number.

02

If the dome flame is burning and LO stays for a long time, check that the flame height knob is not at its lowest mark.

03

If LO never clears on a hot oven, book a visit so the thermocouple and its wiring can be checked.

Cleared?

The code has left the display, the decks or the tunnel come up to the set heat and hold it through a full service, the belt keeps its speed and the blowers run steady, all with no part changed. If the same code returns within a week, or on the next busy night, say so when you book.

What not to do

LO is not a low-gas or low-flame warning. It is also not open, which means the sensor has no connection at all.

No repair indicated

Nothing to repair.

No part of the oven has failed; the display is reporting a state someone chose or the oven entered on its own. A cool-down keeps the blowers turning after the heat is off until the cavity or the tunnel has dropped to a safe level, an energy save setting lets the decks sag between rushes, and a menu lock stops anyone on the line from changing the bake times. No part is needed: letting the cool-down run out, or the key sequence in the manual, brings the oven back.

Questions
about LO.

Can I clear LO myself?
Light the oven as usual and give the floor time to warm; LO should give way to a number.
Why does my Wood Stone oven read LO when I turn it on?
The floor is under 100 °F. The number appears once the hearth warms past that point.
Is LO on a Wood Stone oven a sign the gas is low?
No. It is purely a temperature reading from the floor sensor.
How long should LO stay on a Wood Stone oven?
Only until the floor passes 100 °F. On a hot oven that still reads LO, the sensor reading is wrong and needs a check.

Back to your everyday

Still showing LO?

A booking with a code goes further when it has the code copied as shown, the model and serial from the rating plate, and a note on whether the oven still lights, heats or moves its belt. With those three, the office can match the likely part to your oven the same day.
