Pizza oven repair in The Woodlands.
The Woodlands' wooded lots give a pizza oven shade and damp in equal measure, and gas ovens left covered there collect mud dauber tubes inside the burner, so a lazy, orange flame is the first thing a technician looks into.

What The Woodlands does
to a pizza oven.
Oil investor George P. Mitchell conceived The Woodlands after a symposium on building new towns under the federal HUD Title VII program, and he dedicated it in 1974.
The land once held the Grogan-Cochran Lumber Mill, which is why two of its villages are called Grogan's Mill and Cochran's Crossing.
Much of The Woodlands keeps its native forest, and the Spring Creek Greenway beside it is billed as the longest connected urban forested corridor in the nation.
Mitchell's plan was for Houston to annex it, but residents organized against that in the mid-2000s, and 2007 state legislation leaves The Woodlands the option to incorporate until 2057.
All of HoustonNewer developments
Builders in newer subdivisions often leave a gas stub on the patio, and a pizza oven hooked to it straight out of its propane box burns rich, with a tall, sooty flame that stains the dome's ceiling, until its orifice and regulator are matched to natural gas.
Family houses
Weekly family pizza nights wear a home oven's floor tiles and burner steadily, and flour and cheese that fall through gaps into the burner box can smolder, so the box is cleaned and the floor joints checked on every visit.
Backyard pizza nights
Pizza ovens near a pool catch splashes of chlorinated water on their steel and on the dome, and water soaking into a hot dome crackles and spalls its surface, so the oven is kept covered or placed where splashes cannot reach it.

When a pizza oven
cannot wait in The Woodlands.
In The Woodlands as anywhere, these four put whoever stands at the oven's mouth, and the building around the flue, at risk, and they mean the gas or the power stays off until we arrive: a gas smell at the oven or its supply line, flame escaping the mouth or showing behind the panel or up the chimney, a hot electrical or burning smell, and smoke that fills the room instead of leaving by the flue.
