Three short steps, about a minute.

Before you book,
in this order.

Each step comes from Fontana Forni's own guidance for noP on its pizza ovens. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.

01

If you are not using a meat probe, ignore noP; the oven heats normally.

02

If a probe is plugged in and the readout still shows noP, push the plug fully into its port.

03

Try the probe in the other port; if noP follows the probe, the probe or its cable is damaged and needs replacing.

Cleared?

The code has left the display, the decks or the tunnel come up to the set heat and hold it through a full service, the belt keeps its speed and the blowers run steady, all with no part changed. If the same code returns within a week, or on the next busy night, say so when you book.

What not to do

noP has nothing to do with the chamber probe that controls the burner; losing that one shows Er1. It is not a stop condition either, and the oven keeps heating with noP on the screen.

What you may
notice with it.

The pizza oven problem noP tends to arrive with. Answer these at the pizza oven before anyone is booked.

All problems

No repair indicated

Nothing to repair.

No part of the oven has failed; the display is reporting a state someone chose or the oven entered on its own. A cool-down keeps the blowers turning after the heat is off until the cavity or the tunnel has dropped to a safe level, an energy save setting lets the decks sag between rushes, and a menu lock stops anyone on the line from changing the bake times. No part is needed: letting the cool-down run out, or the key sequence in the manual, brings the oven back.

In Fontana Forni's own words

If the meat probes are not connected to the port, “noP” appears on the display.

Questions
about noP.

Can I clear noP myself?
If you are not using a meat probe, ignore noP; the oven heats normally.
Should I worry about noP on my Fontana Volta display?
No. It only tells you a meat-probe port is empty. The oven lights and holds temperature the same way with or without the food probes.
My Volta meat probe is plugged in but shows noP. What now?
Reseat the plug, then try the probe in the other port. If noP stays with that probe in both ports, the probe or its cable is damaged; if the probe works in one port only, that port needs attention.
Does noP on a Fontana Volta stop the timer or alerts?
It only affects the probe readout for that port. The oven temperature and the cooking timer keep working.

Back to your everyday

Still showing noP?

A booking with a code goes further when it has the code copied as shown, the model and serial from the rating plate, and a note on whether the oven still lights, heats or moves its belt. With those three, the office can match the likely part to your oven the same day.
