What Oven Door Open
actually means.

The Single Batch has a door on its cook cavity and switches that tell the control when it is shut. If they report the door open, the display reads Oven Door Open, an alarm sounds and the oven will not warm up properly. TurboChef lists food stopping the door, a door simply left open and door switches that need adjusting.

What to do when Oven Door Open shows on the pizza oven

Before you book,
in this order.

Each step comes from TurboChef's own guidance for Oven Door Open on its pizza ovens. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.

01

Open the door and remove any food, crumbs or paper caught at the edge of the opening.

02

Close the door firmly; the manual suggests opening and closing it several times.

03

If the message stays with the door fully shut, book a visit so the door switches can be adjusted.

Cleared?

The code has left the display, the decks or the tunnel come up to the set heat and hold it through a full service, the belt keeps its speed and the blowers run steady, all with no part changed. If the same code returns within a week, or on the next busy night, say so when you book.

What not to do

The message is not a heating problem, even though the oven will not heat while it shows. A door that closes but sits crooked can also bring F2 on a Single Batch, which is a separate temperature report.

No repair indicated

Nothing to repair.

No part of the oven has failed; the display is reporting a state someone chose or the oven entered on its own. A cool-down keeps the blowers turning after the heat is off until the cavity or the tunnel has dropped to a safe level, an energy save setting lets the decks sag between rushes, and a menu lock stops anyone on the line from changing the bake times. No part is needed: letting the cool-down run out, or the key sequence in the manual, brings the oven back.

Questions
about Oven Door Open.

Can I clear Oven Door Open myself?
Open the door and remove any food, crumbs or paper caught at the edge of the opening.
Why does my TurboChef Single Batch say Oven Door Open when the door is shut?
Either something small keeps the door from seating or the door switches are out of adjustment. Clean the door edge and cycle the door a few times; if the message stays, the switches need a technician.
Will a TurboChef Single Batch heat with the door open?
No. The manual lists a door that is not closed as a reason the oven is not warming up, so the door has to be shut before a cook can start.
Can a bent door on a Single Batch cause other codes?
Yes. A door out of alignment is one of the causes TurboChef gives for F2, because hot air escapes around it during the cook.

Still showing Oven Door Open?

A booking with a code goes further when it has the code copied as shown, the model and serial from the rating plate, and a note on whether the oven still lights, heats or moves its belt. With those three, the office can match the likely part to your oven the same day.
