What LOAD
actually means.

After the temperature has been set with the TEMP key and the dial, the 1415 display reads LOAD. That is the point in the sequence where the cook time is set with the TIME key and the product goes onto the stone.

What to do when LOAD shows on the pizza oven

Before you book,
in this order.

Each step comes from Blodgett's own guidance for LOAD on its pizza ovens. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.

01

Press the TIME key and turn the dial to the cook time you want.

02

Load the product onto the deck stone and press START/STOP to begin the countdown.

03

If LOAD never appears after you set a temperature, or the display will not respond to the keys, switch the oven off and book a visit for the control.

Cleared?

The code has left the display, the decks or the tunnel come up to the set heat and hold it through a full service, the belt keeps its speed and the blowers run steady, all with no part changed. If the same code returns within a week, or on the next busy night, say so when you book.

What not to do

LOAD does not say the stone has reached temperature; the manual only ties it to the next step of the setup. It is not an alarm and needs no reset.

What you may
notice with it.

The pizza oven problems LOAD tends to arrive with. Answer these at the pizza oven before anyone is booked.

All problems

No repair indicated

Nothing to repair.

No part of the oven has failed; the display is reporting a state someone chose or the oven entered on its own. A cool-down keeps the blowers turning after the heat is off until the cavity or the tunnel has dropped to a safe level, an energy save setting lets the decks sag between rushes, and a menu lock stops anyone on the line from changing the bake times. No part is needed: letting the cool-down run out, or the key sequence in the manual, brings the oven back.

Questions
about LOAD.

Can I clear LOAD myself?
Press the TIME key and turn the dial to the cook time you want.
What does LOAD mean on a Blodgett 1415 deck oven?
It is the control asking for the next step: set a cook time with the TIME key, load the product and press START/STOP.
Should I wait before loading when my Blodgett 1415 reads LOAD?
The manual does not say LOAD means the stone is fully hot. After a cold start, give the stone time to heat before the first bake so the bottom cooks properly.
How do I set the temperature on a Blodgett 1415?
Switch the power on, press the TEMP key and turn the dial to the temperature you want; LOAD then appears for the cook time.

Back to your everyday

Still showing LOAD?

A booking with a code goes further when it has the code copied as shown, the model and serial from the rating plate, and a note on whether the oven still lights, heats or moves its belt. With those three, the office can match the likely part to your oven the same day.
