What F5
actually means.

CC stands for cook chamber. F5 means the chamber went above its safe temperature. TurboChef names blocked airflow into the oven first, then a problem with the blower motors or heater, then a defective solid-state relay, the switch that pulses power to the heaters.

What to do when F5 shows on the pizza oven

Before you book,
in this order.

Each step comes from TurboChef's own guidance for F5 on its pizza ovens. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.

01

Switch the oven to off and let it cool; do not reach into the chamber while it is hot.

02

Check the air intakes and the space around the oven for boxes, towels or anything pushed against it, and clear them.

03

Restart and watch the set and actual temperature; if F5 returns with clear airflow, book a visit, because the blower motors, heater or relay are next on the list.

What not to do

F5 is about the cook chamber, not the electrical compartment; overheating on the control side is F6. It is also different from F8, where the separate high-limit safety has already opened.

Questions
about F5.

Can I clear F5 myself?
Switch the oven to off and let it cool; do not reach into the chamber while it is hot. If it comes back, it needs a visit.
What does CC Over Temp mean on a TurboChef HhC?
CC is the cook chamber. The message says the chamber itself got hotter than it should, which is why the manual looks first at anything choking the air coming into the oven.
Can a stuck relay cause TurboChef F5?
Yes. A defective SSR is on the manual's list: if it fails closed, the heaters stay on regardless of the set point. That is a job for a technician with a meter, not the operator.
Is my HhC safe to use after an F5?
Only once the cause is found. If clearing the airflow and a cool restart do not stop F5, keep the oven off and book a visit.

Still showing F5?

A booking with a code goes further when it has the code copied as shown, the model and serial from the rating plate, and a note on whether the oven still lights, heats or moves its belt. With those three, the office can match the likely part to your oven the same day.
