The Fire artisan pizza oven lists three codes, Er1, Er2 and Ht, in a single row of its troubleshooting table and gives them one cause: a defective component. The manual does not say which part each code points to, so the display tells you that the oven needs service, not which part to order. TurboChef pizza oven display What to do when Er1 shows on the pizza oven ### Kind of code Controls and display The controller itself reported trouble, or stopped answering: a display with missing segments, a keypad that no longer takes a press after steam or cleaner got behind it, a board whose relays stick, or saved bake settings that vanish overnight. A full power cycle at the breaker, done as the manual describes, clears a passing glitch; a code that returns, or any sign of moisture or scorching behind the panel, means a board or a keypad, and that is a visit. ### Usually leads to Pizza oven thermostat and control repair Thermostats calibrated or replaced, probes, timers, boards and displays repaired, so the pizza oven holds the temperature the cooks set and shows the right number. ### Shows up as Pizza Oven Error Code on a Deck, Conveyor or Rapid-Cook Display A pizza oven error code shows as letters or numbers on the display of a conveyor, deck or rapid-cook oven, a flashing light on its panel, or a message about ignition, heat, belt or airflow. ### Make TurboChef A TurboChef call starts with the menu item that came out wrong and the recipe setting it ran on, since a rapid-cook oven follows those settings to the second. ### Source TurboChef Fire artisan pizza oven owner's manual, FRE-OWN-A TurboChef Fire countertop pizza oven (FRE-OWN-A, February 2026). Er2 and Ht share the same manual row and the same remedy. ## Before you book, in this order. Each step comes from TurboChef's own guidance for Er1 on its pizza ovens. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit. 01 Switch the Fire off with its ON/OFF button and let the oven, door and cavity cool. 02 Write down the exact code shown, Er1, Er2 or Ht, and what the oven was doing, because the manual groups them but a technician will want to know which one. 03 Book a visit; the Fire manual offers no operator reset for these codes. ### Still there? It usually turns into [pizza oven thermostat and control repair](https://pizzaovenrepair.center/services/pizza-oven-thermostat-and-control-repair/). Book with the code and the model number. ### What not to do An oven that simply will not warm up without a code is a different row in the Fire manual, where the high-limit reset button and the power supply come first. Er1 is not a cleaning reminder, and cleaning will not clear it. ## What you may notice with it. The pizza oven problems Er1 tends to arrive with. Switch the Fire off with its ON/OFF button and let the oven, door and cavity cool. If it comes back, it needs a visit. ### What is the difference between Er1, Er2 and Ht on a TurboChef Fire? The owner's manual does not separate them: all three sit in one row with the cause given as a defective component. A technician reads which one appeared and tests the matching part. ### Can I reset Er1 on a TurboChef Fire myself? The manual gives no reset for Er1, only service. The one reset an operator has on the Fire is the high-limit button on the base, which belongs to a different problem. ### Is it safe to keep baking on a Fire that showed Er1? The Fire runs up to 842°F, and a failed component at that heat is not worth the risk. Leave the Fire off until a technician has seen it. --- **[Read on the site: TurboChef Er1: the Fire pizza oven has found a defective component](https://pizzaovenrepair.center/error-codes/turbochef-er1/)** **[Book a visit with PizzaOvenRepair.center](https://pizzaovenrepair.center/schedule/)**
